started Race Walking in High School to help her team get points at
track meets. Racewalking
in the Olympics Racewalking
is a Judged event. . "Race
Walking taught me patience, dedication, & prioritization. I believe
through hard work and dedication to the training you become a better
athlete."
The Athlete ...This All American excelled on the USA Junior National team and won the Junior National championship before moving up to the senior ranks. She has compeated on the international stage in Russia, Mexico and Canada for Team USA, and the USA World Cup Teams. She is an Empire State Games Champion, Olympic Trials Qualifier, and scholar athlete... At the highest levels, an athlete can average 7 minute miles over a 50-kilometer competition. "Race walking is anything but a stroll in the park, and it certainly isn't like the speed walking you see ladies do at the mall. It's a real sport and it takes practice and intense training both mentally and physically" |

Why Race Walk? "
I like being a part of something Miranda
racewalks or walks anywhere from 3 to 15 miles a day, 80+ miles/ week,
lift weights, does core exercises in preperation for 20 kilometer
